Clothes do not a birthday present make...

Tomorrow Tommy turns six. This is a huge event... why? You would have to ask him, but I'm pretty sure its only because he turns six. Do you have to be six to buy candy cigars, possibly? Monopoly Lotto scratch off tickets? I digress...

Tommy received a birthday package in the mail from his great grandparents today. (lucky kid, because of having great grandparents, no the present). So he's freaking out, bouncing around waiting for the exciting present to be opened. And he says...

"They only sent clothes? Lets play with the packing peanuts!!" And after my quick refusal, he went back to his array of toys on the floor. For the record, the shirts are very nice...

Let us begin....

On a daily basis, okay maybe not that often, my almost 6 year old son says some of the craziest things. Things that make me proud, and embarrassed to be his parent, all at the same time. Things that deserve a scolding, but are just so much easier to laugh at. Things that remind me just how honest kids minds are, how pure... how ruthless.

I feel I'm doing the world a disservice by not sharing these tidbits, so viola, this blog is born. I invite anyone to add their own funny kids stories, if possible. The original name is inspired from the old phrase "From your lips to God's ears...". I say this in jest, because much of what Tommy says I hope never get past the 4 walls surrounding us. The final name "Moose Says..." makes more sense. Because thats what he does... he talks... and talks... : ) I hope you enjoy and this stuff brings a smile to your face (and sometimes an all out gut laugh) as it does to mine.

Enjoy, please send me an suggestions as I'm new to the blogging thing. If you want to complain, well, go stand in front of the mirror and berate yourself. You may even feel better afterward!

Later,
Z
